The current breakdown of the House of Representatives is 220 Democrats to 212 Republicans. That means Democrats have a 51% to 49% majority in the House.
Similarly, U.S. Senate breakdown is 50 Republicans to 48 Democrats (and two Independents who caucus with them). That's literally a 50/50 split with the VP being the tie-breaking vote (if needed)..
If you had a super majority in BOTH chambers, THAT's a mandate.
Democrats DO NOT have a mandate for their ridiculous policy priorities.
