Not to excuse Speaker Gingrich's slightly immoral affair with a Congressional aide, but Clinton was not being impeached for his sexual escapades with Monica Lewinsky. He was being impeached because he lied under oath about that relationship while being deposed for Paula Jones' lawsuit. If Speaker Gingrich had lied under oath about his relationship with the intern while being deposed about a legal matter, that would've been hypocritical.
