It reads like you were a good teacher in terms of how you handled our history with slavery.

But, as I wrote in my comments, CRT doesn’t follow your example. It teaches today’s students are oppressors or oppressed dependent on one factor — their race. It also assumes systemic racism is woven into the nation’s fabric.

Those are the lies inherent in CRT. I don’t think parents fear the truth. They just don’t want their kids “brainwashed” with CRT lies.

With respect to states that “pick and choose identification” that can be used for voter ID, the difference between the two examples you cited (gun license, okay; university ID, not accepted) is that gun licenses are vetted and approved by the federal government.

We are told incessantly by talking heads on cable news that immigration is the purview of the federal government. I believe states can query federal government databases before issuing ID which makes most state issued ID golden for verifying citizenship. I don’t believe universities can access those same databases. Hence, university IDs are not sufficient for determining citizenship.

If states want to use voter ID to ensure only US citizens are voting, they must only accept government vetted identification.

Make sense?
