For some reason, your response doesn't show in the story thread when I click on the link provided in the email. I'm copying it here so other members can see your ridiculous, inaccurate, response:

"No. No, it was not. It was not normal that th VP greedily kept TWO offices in Congress. Pence had an office on the Senate side as president of the Senate in his VP duties. It was petty of Pence to demand TWO offices. He should have had the grace to relinquish that space on his own.

If you had actually read the article you linked, you'd have known he was the one making demands out of the ordinary by demanding an unnecessary extra office."

BS! There is nothing in the article I linked indicating that VP Pence demanded ANYTHING. The office space was granted to him by former Speaker Paul Ryan (that IS in the article). It's not being greedy. But, it did make it convenient for members of the House from BOTH parties to have ready access to the VP to discuss pending legislation, Administration policy, or any of a number of things face-to-face.

Nancy had to make sure to make it as difficult as possible for Republican members to communicate with the VP. She also wanted to make sure her members stayed on the message she demanded rather than potentially being swayed to change positions based on conversations with the VP. THAT'S "petty vindictiveness".

Who do you think permitted Nancy to use her cushy office when she was no longer Speaker? Former Speaker McCarthy, that's who. Nancy is no longer the former Speaker. It was a simple matter of regular business that acting Speaker McHenry would revoke the office space from Nancy and allocate it to former Speaker McCarthy. There was nothing "hateful and cruel" or exercising "petty vindictiveness" associated with the action.
